
Boys and Girls Club
Jason was a street kid in the middle of winter. With no where to go he turned to the Boys and Girls Club. He was given food, shelter and support. He was given the things he needed when he couldn’t find it elsewhere.
The United Way fundraises money to give to the Boys and Girls Club of Niagara. One of the main fundraisers is the Poor Boy Auction. That money goes to help people in our area. It doesn’t matter where you live; there is someone close by to help you.

Niagara Peninsula Chapter of Hope
Alex was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis two years ago. There was one place that gave him hope and support. The Multiple Sclerosis Society. They got him the assistance he needed when his life was falling apart.

Adolescent's Family Support Services of Niagara
Cassandra got pregnant at 16 and she didn’t know what to do. She knew she couldn’t do it on her own. She was told about Adolescent's Family Support Services of Niagara. They helped her graduate and gave her life skills that she needed.

Block Parents
Margaret recently had the pleasure of helping out a young girl in trouble. She could do that because she was a block parent. A stranger was following the girl, so she stopped at Margaret’s house and got the help she needed.

Distress Centre of Niagara Inc.
Josh had been an alcoholic for years. His mother asked him to call the Distress Centre if he was ever going to kill himself. He thought it was silly but he did have those thoughts and he did end up calling. He is alive today because of them.

The YWCA helped Mandy out when she was in trouble. The staff gave her a safe place to stay while she tried to build her life back up. The YWCA helps many people like Mandy all the time.

Niagara Region Sexual Assault Centre
Getting help for something that you feel is embarrassing is tough. The Niagara Region Sexual Assault Centre helped Cassandra when she was abused. The staff there talked to her and helped her move on. She thought she could do it on her own. She was wrong.

I CAN-T.E.R
Lisa’s son Dylan participated in the Therapeutic Riding Program at I CAN-T.E.R and has benefited greatly from it. His confidence has grown. He made many friends when he was there and it built up his self-esteem.

Mike got in a car accident and as a result, suffered from a brain injury. His family needed support to help Mike. Brain Injury Association gave them that.
