ABOUT THE POORBOY AUCTION
Through its over 30 year history the Poor Boy Luncheon and Auction has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support your Niagara Falls community.
The Poor Boy Luncheon and Auction, presented by RONA, is the flagship special event of the United Way of Niagara Falls and Greater Fort Erie. In 2008, Poor Boy celebrates its 35th anniversary having evolved into an effort that raises approximately $50,000 and draws attendees from all sectors of the community.
The event is located at the Niagara Falls Optimist Hall at the corner of Dorchester Road and Morrison Street. This year it will be held on Thursday, October 23. As the name suggests, the event takes place over the lunch period, usually starting at 11:30 a.m. and wrapping up around 2 p.m.
The Poor Boy Luncheon and Auction is organized by a group of volunteers, chaired by Lisa Taylor. Here is this year's committee.
